In May 2023 Mr David Brown contacted the Awarua Communications Museum to see if we were interested in his past service with the Post Office. We certainly were, as his experiences included being a direct 'partner' with Awarua Radio in providing Post Offices to the public.
His unique insights are based on his time when appointed as Postmaster at Haast (before public road links were completed) and at Scott Base, Antarctica. You can read about his experiences here:
